Got the call late this afternoon, June 14, that we officially have sponsors for this weekend's race at MIS: SBC and Tubby's Subs!
We haven't had the chance to see the hood art yet so as soon as that becomes available, we'll get it posted for you.
Also..Derrike Cope sure does have a lot of fans out there and you have been letting us know that! Thanks! We will pass on the kind words and encouragement to Derrike and the rest of the crew.
MIS - Remember, testing on Friday, qualifying Saturday and racing on Sunday. Updates will be posted as quickly as possible. Weather looks to be good, crowds probably at record levels especially with new updates at the track.
Post test info. Brief summary, more soon as time allows.
We had a pretty good day of testing June 7th at MIS. Derrike Cope tested for us and is scheduled to drive for us at MIS. Derrike helped us to fine tune the suspension and put in some pretty fair times until shortly after the lunch break when we suffered valve problems ending with having to pull the engine. With the new engine in place an hour and half later we recorded times that were on par with Tony Stewart who we shared a garage with. He didn't complain too, much when we knocked hard on the tires he was resting on when Derrike came into the garage a little hot and proceeded to hit the tires Stewart was seated on. He might just save it for the track though..just ask Jeff!
Doing our best to stay within testing restrictions we were able to get some photos of our testing, but not as many as we would have preferred.
MIS is just days away. Minor tweaks on the cars happening. Planning for testing next week. We're down to one "ringer" and hope to update you with his progress after the track time. Project X, whatever that is..has moved "up the flagpole" according to John Conely.
We've lost Anita to the Alaskan's. No, really we think that the Aleutian crabbers have kidnapped her and are holding her in a cabin somewhere near the Arctic Circle. You know where she is? Have her give us a call, we've got a date for her with several thousand of her closest friends at a track in Brooklyn, Michigan in a couple of weeks.
